NATIONAL SCHOOL BOARD ASSOCIATION

On September 29, the National School Board Association (NSBA) wrote a letter to President Biden requesting “federal assistance to stop threats and acts of violence” against school board members, school officials, and teachers.

While any legitimate attacks or threats should be investigated – the NSBA letter references a report that doesn’t include any legitimate attack or threat. The organization, however, would have you believe that parents who disagree with the increasingly political curriculum and activism in schools are engaged in “domestic terrorism” and “hate crimes.”

The NSBA has requested the weight of the federal government to monitor and respond to parents who share widely held beliefs and are exercising their right to influence their children’s education. In response, the Justice Department has initiated a Task Force.

This communication from the NSBA amounts to nothing more than an effort to silence parents. The letter, signed by the organization’s President and Interim Executive Director & CEO is submitted on behalf of “more than 90,000 school board members who govern our country’s 14,000 local public school districts.”
